Named for the original owner, James F. Kane, this building was completed in 1914. The Kane Building was the most modern, up-to-date building of its time. It was the first edifice in the city with a passenger elevator.
Over the years the Kane Building has been home to the offices of several local physicians, engineers, lawyers, stores and businesses.
